Durable and Beautiful Plant Tags: Functional Garden Markers That Last

I’ve always loved making jewelry as a hobby, but recently, I had a spark of inspiration: why not use my jewelry-making skills to create something practical for my garden? Enter one of my funnest project—beautiful, handmade plant tags! This idea combines two of my passions, and the results are stunning.

These tags are more than just pretty accents; they serve a purpose too. Each tag identifies the cultivar of my fruit trees and even includes the year the tree was planted. It’s a creative and functional way to keep track of my garden’s history while adding a touch of elegance. Of course, you can personalize them with anything you’d like—whether it’s planting dates, special messages, or just a bit of artful flair.

It’s so rewarding to see my hobbies come together to create something that’s both beautiful and useful. Who knew garden organization could look this good?

Stamping Kit for Plant Tags
I used my stamping kit to make these tags for my trees. Helps to identify them on the spot and see how old they are.

I love this stamping kit because it has the acrylic marker to color in the text for easier readability. It also has stickers that help with consistent letter placement.

Watch how it’s made here.

This includes the wire, dog tags, jewelry pliers, metal stamps, jewelry hammer and bench block.
